Chapter 8 of the "Second Coming" storyline which takes place in issue #236 of X-Men Lagacy is packed with action as the X-Men prepare for what appears to be the final offensive from Bastion and crew.

The thing I love the most about this issue is Greg Land's art though out the issue. I particularly love the pages where The Avengers arrive on the scene. I was actually more into reading the Avengers in just the few pages they appeared in this issue, than I was in the first issue of their new on-goinh title which also came out this past week.

Now even though the art was my favorite thing about the issue, I don't want you to think the writing by Mr. Carey wasn't good either. He does a nice job of continuing the story for this multi-title crossover, and makes you really feel energized about reading the X-Men again. I haven't been this much into a X-Men story since probably the 90's. If you haven't been reading the "Second Coming" storyline, then you have really been missing out on one of the best X-events in a long time.
