Captain America Reborn #4
Captain America Reborn #4 finds arch-villains Dr. Doom and Red Skull working together to bring Steve Rogers back to the present after he gets trapped in the past during World War II. Of course, their motivation for bringing him back isn’t exactly beneficial to Cap. I think my favorite thing about this issue is the interaction between Doom and the other villains in the story. It’s always fun to see Doom’s gigantic ego in action, and writer Ed Brubaker does a great job of portraying it here. Butch Guice & Bryan Hitch’s art also does a good job presenting Doom as the mega villain he truly is. I also love the scenes that take place during World War II; they give you a real feel of being in a war zone. For those of us who have been waiting for Steve Rogers to return, this story has not disappointed. I can’t wait for the fifth and final part of this story to come out next month.
