IDW Publishing Announces Signings For FCBD

The annual Free Comic Book Day event held in comics shops across the land is fast approaching. The event will be held on Saturday, May 6. IDW’s offering will be a flip-book containing some TRANSFORMERS projects. This special giveaway will include 11 pages each of the current INFILTRATION story as well as the BEAST WARS miniseries. Additionally, the book will contain the first look at two upcoming TRANSFORMERS-related projects, the June EVOLUTIONS debut, “Hearts of Steel,” and the July-set STORMBRINGER miniseries.

Many IDW creators will be appearing at local comics shops for signings on Free Comic Book Day, too. Among them:

IDW's Publisher/Editor-in-Chief and Eisner-nominated DOOMED writer Chris Ryall will be signing copies of that magazine, as well as CLIVE BARKER’S THE GREAT AND SECRET SHOW, LAND OF THE DEAD, SHAUN OF THE DEAD, MASTERS OF HORROR, and even TRANSFORMERS lettercols at Earth-2 Comics in Sherman Oaks, CA, from 2-4 PM

Scott Ciencin, signing SILENT HILL comics at Emerald City Comics in Clearwater, FL

Chuck Dixon, writer of the upcoming TRANSFORMERS EVOLUTIONS: HEARTS OF STEEL, will be signing at two stores—the first will be Colossal Comics in New Port Richey, FL 11AM till 2PM. From 3 PM to 6 PM, he will be at Yancy Street Comics, also in New Port Richey

Kristian Donaldson, artist on SUPERMARKET, will be doing an appearance at an event in Dallas, called CAPE (Comics and Pop Culture Expo), put on by Zeus Comics

Don Figueroa will be signing the TRANSFORMERS FCBD comic and TRANSFORMERS: BEAST WARS comics at Shinders in Minneapolis, MN

Simon Furman, writer of all things TRANSFORMERS and BEAST WARS, will be signing at Comic Connections in Banbury, UK at 12 PM

E.J. Su will be signing the TRANSFORMERS FCBD comic, TRANSFORMERS: INFILTRATION, and CASTLEVANIA at Shooting Star Comics in Fontana, CA.

Comics101.com’s Scott Tipton will be signing DOOMED, SPIKE: OLD WOUNDS, and SPIKE: LOST & FOUND alongside Chris Ryall at Earth-2 Comics in Sherman Oaks, CA from 2-4 PM

Brian Wood will be signing SUPERMARKET comics at That's Entertainment Comics in Worcester, MA

JC Vaugn, co-writer of 24 will be signing at Cards, Comics & Collectibles in Reisterstown, MD
