Larry Hama Comes To JoeCon
posted by Jay Cochran at 17:58:23 on 03/08/10

LARRY HAMA is best known as a writer and editor for Marvel Comics, where he wrote the comic book series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, based on the Hasbro toy line. Not only did he write the G.I. Joe comic for fourteen years, he also wrote all the file cards during that time. When someone thinks of writing for G.I. Joe...they think of Larry! He has also written other exciting titles, including: Wolverine, Nth Man: the Ultimate Ninja, and Elektra, and he created the character Bucky O'Hare, which was developed into a comic book, a toy line and a television cartoon. During the 1970's, he was seen on the TV shows M*A*S*H and Saturday Night Live. He also appeared on Broadway in two different roles in the original 1976 production of Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures.

Larry is currently writing G.I. Joe: Origins for IDW Comics and working on various new animation and game properties. You'll get to meet him in Rhode Island and ask him all of your burning G.I. Joe plot and character questions!
