IDW to Release New Series Based on Transformers Drift Character?

With IDW Publishing-created character getting his own figure this Fall, it only makes sense that this was coming.

According to Amazon.com, a 102-page book titled Transformers: Drift will be released on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 by IDW Publishing by Shane McCarthy and Lee Ferguson. Mr. McCarthy created the Drift character in his All Hail Megatron maxi-series last year.

The description on the product page reveals that the book will focus on the origin of the newest Autobot and the "ancient secret" that lies deep within an alien planet.

If this turns out to be real, it is not surprising that this book will be out several months after an action figure of Drift comes out in Hasbro's Transformers: Generations toyline.
